Neon Plinko

Drop the chip, pick a name

A towering neon peg board, one chip, dozens of real physics bounces, and a slot with a name at the bottom. Every peg plays a note, so each drop sounds as good as it looks.

Drop the chip
  • Free, no sign-up
  • 2 to 16 names
  • Provably fair

How it works

  1. Add your names

Type 2 to 16 names, or paste a whole list at once.

  2. Choose a show

Six games, from a UFO abduction to a knockout arena. Same fair odds in every one.

  3. Press play

The winner is drawn and sealed first, then the show reveals them.

How the drop stays fair

Headspin picks the winner first, then searches real, simulated drops until it finds one that settles in that slot, and plays back the most suspenseful one. The chip you watch bounce is a real physics drop, not an animation painted on top.

Six ways to pick a name

Questions

Is it really random?

Yes. The winner is drawn with your browser’s cryptographic random number generator before the show starts, and every name has exactly the same chance. The animation only reveals a result that is already locked in.

How can I prove the pick wasn’t changed?

When a round starts, Headspin shows a SHA-256 seal of the result. After the reveal, the Verify button shows exactly what was sealed, so anyone can recompute the hash and check that the winner was fixed before the show began.

How many names can I add?

From 2 to 16 names per game, each up to 40 characters. Paste a whole list at once and Headspin splits it into names for you. Duplicate names are numbered automatically so everyone stays distinct.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

Headspin is free and there is nothing to sign up for. Your names and settings are saved only in your own browser, so the list is still there next time you open the site on the same device.
